My Obsession With White

Luxury White Bedding

source

I have always had an obsession with white.  It’s amazing to me how easy it really is to care for things that are white.  I really don’t understand why so many people have a fear of white.  So often when working with clients I will see this crazy fear of anything white.  They don’t understand if they have kids and animals how they could actually have anything white in their home.  I hate to tell you, dark colors just hide the dirt.  Dark colors are actually much harder to launder as well.  I have always had all white bedding.  I just love it!  It’s heavily.  I love to mix it up as well.  With white you can add that new crisp white blanket with ease. You can change the pillow shams without changing the whole bed.  I love to mix and match white patterns as well.  Honestly, there’s nothing like a cozy all white bed.

Just today I posted a white sofa on Facebook from Lee Industries.  A friend responded with a laugh.  They wondered how anyone with kids and dogs could possibly  have a white sofa, it would be destroyed in their home.  I’ve had a white sofa in my living room for over 6 years and I have to say it’s in perfect condition.  Of course, my kids don’t eat on it.  I recently put an all white slip-covered sofa in my girls tv room.  It’s great.  It is used daily and the great thing is,  it’s slip-covered so I can remove and wash when necessary.  The slipcover is  a soft white twill and the throw pillows are a pink and orange jelly bean fabric from Schumacher.  I do lay a lime green scalloped quilt across the seat.  It’s adorable.

My latest White purchase is my new Aga Legacy 44 inch stove.  I’m so excited to cook on it and can’t stand to wait for it!     I am currently in the process of remodeling and putting in a new kitchen.   Of  course, it’s white.   I will be sure to show pictures in future blogs.

I just had to share my new white stove with you.  Isn’t it beautiful?
